Services and Support

A Brief Introduction
Webb-Peploe Surgery is part of the Barton Webb-Peploe Partnership, which in turn is part of the Hampshire Primary Care Trust. The partnership was started in the 1930s by Dr Murray Webb-Peploe, who had previously been both a missionary in India and a doctor in China. Today, the partnership is run by doctors who are all Christians seeking to practise medicine to the best of their ability, and all the members of staff at the practice aim to ensure that patients receive the best service possible.

This is a training practice, and, recently, Dr Maule completed a trainers’ course so that he can start training junior doctors at Webb-Peploe Surgery. Medical students are occasionally attached to the practice, and the number may increase as Southampton University is looking for more practices to offer training facilities.
